The Entity was a probe the Nekross sent to Earth to find Magic. In 2006 on Halloween it was found near ancient ruins by a female wizard named Helen Clarke who was informed of it by another wizard. The Entity spotted Helen's ten-year-old son Tom and was about to attack him before Helen arrived and saved him by casting a spell at it. But due to it being made by Nekross her magic was useless against it and it killed Helen right in front of Tom. The Last Day
